Introduction
In games like BGMI or COD, ears are as important as eyes. If you can hear the enemy approaching, you can pre-fire and win easily. Many players complain "I can't hear footsteps". The problem might be your audio settings.
1. Mono vs. Stereo Audio
Check your phone settings.
Go to: Settings > Accessibility > Hearing.
Make sure "Mono Audio" is OFF.
Why: Mono mixes left and right sounds together. You need Stereo to know if the enemy is on the Left or Right.
2. Use Equalizer (If available)
If your phone has Dolby Atmos or an Equalizer:
Set it to "Movie" or "Game" mode.
Boost the "Treble" (High frequency). Footsteps are high-frequency sounds. Bass (Low frequency) is for explosions. Too much bass hides the footstep sound.
3. Wired vs. Bluetooth
For gaming, Always use Wired Earphones. Bluetooth headphones have "Latency" (delay). You will hear the gunshot after you are dead. A cheap wired earphone is better than expensive Bluetooth buds for gaming.
Conclusion
Sound gives you a wall-hack-like advantage. Adjust these settings and stop getting surprised by enemies!
