Introduction: The Road to Glory
Are you just a classic player, or do you have what it takes to be a professional? The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2026 roadmap is officially out, and this year, things are massive.
With a prize pool that has broken previous records and a completely new point system, this is your chance to shine. Let's decode the official announcement.
1. The New Point System (Aggressive Meta)
Krafton wants to stop teams from just healing in the blue zone and taking placement points.
The Change:
1st Place: 10 Points (Earlier it was 15).
Per Kill: 1 Point.
Analysis: This means a team with 0 Kills and Chicken Dinner gets 10 points. But a team that dies at #5 but has 15 kills gets 15+ points. Aggression is now rewarded. If you are a camper, you won't qualify.
2. The Map Pool: No "Primewood" Mode
This is crucial information.
Competitive Mode: BGIS will be played on Hardcore Mode (Classic Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikendi).
Event Mode: The "Flora Wings" and "Thorn Scorpion" will NOT be available in BGIS.
Advice: Stop practicing in the event mode immediately. Play classic matches without powers to train your gun skills and rotation sense. Flying with wings won't help you in the tournament.
3. Registration Process & Dates
In-Game Qualifiers (The Grind): Expected to start on February 10, 2026.
Eligibility: You must be Platinum V or above. Your account must be Level 25+.
The Rule: You have to play 15 matches with your registered squad. The best 10 matches will be counted.
4. Device Rules
For the online qualifiers, you can use any phone (iPhone/Android). But for the LAN Finals, players will likely be provided with the official device partner phone (Rumored to be the iQOO 13). If you are an iPad player, sorry, tablets are strictly banned in official tournaments.
Conclusion
Gather your squad, fix your roles (IGL, Assaulter, Support), and start practicing on Miramar. The competition in 2026 is going to be fierce. Good luck!
