Introduction
Does your phone feel like a hot frying pan after just 20 minutes of gaming? Overheating is the biggest enemy of gamers because as soon as the phone gets hot, the game starts lagging. This is called "Thermal Throttling".
You don't need to put your phone in the fridge (please don't do that!). Here is how to keep it cool professionally.
1. Remove the Back Cover
This is the simplest fix. Thick rubber or plastic covers trap heat inside. Before you start your match, take off the cover. Let the phone breathe. It makes a huge difference.
2. Don't Play on Mobile Data (If possible)
4G/5G modems generate a lot more heat than Wi-Fi. If you have Wi-Fi available, use it. Mobile data makes the processor work double-time to maintain signal strength.
3. Lower the Brightness
The screen generates 40% of the heat. Playing at 100% brightness is a bad idea. Keep it at 50-60%. It’s better for your eyes and keeps the device cool.
4. Clear Recent Apps
If Chrome, YouTube, and WhatsApp are open in the background, your processor is multi-tasking. Clear everything before launching the game.
Final Tip
If you are a serious gamer, invest in a cheap "Phone Cooler Fan". They cost around ₹500 and can drop the temperature by 10 degrees instantly.
