Introduction: Smoothness is Everything
In Battle Royale games, "Frames Win Games". This is a fact. If you are playing on 30 FPS and fighting a guy on 90 FPS, you have already lost before you even fired a bullet.
But now, the bar has been raised. 90 FPS is common. The new standard for 2026 is 120 FPS (Ultra Extreme). With the 4.2 Update, Krafton has optimized the engine to support 120 frames per second on the latest flagship chipsets. But there is a catch—heating.
Why 120 FPS is a Game Changer
It's not just about the game looking smooth. It affects "Bullet Registration".
Scenario: You and your enemy peek at the same time.
120 FPS Player: Sees you 8 milliseconds earlier. His bullets register on the server faster.
60 FPS Player: By the time you see him, you are already taking damage.
Official Supported Devices List (Jan 2026)
The 4.2 patch has unlocked this feature for devices running Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the new Gen 4.
The Kings (Gen 4 Optimized):
iQOO 13 / 13 Pro: These phones are currently running BGMI the best. The game feels like butter.
OnePlus 13 / 13R: Stable 120 FPS with minimal heating.
RedMagic 10 Pro: Since it has a built-in fan, it sustains 120 FPS for hours without dropping a single frame.
The Veterans (Gen 3):
Samsung S25 Ultra: Supports 120 FPS, but throttles after 20 minutes without a cooler.
Xiaomi 15 Pro: Good performance, but battery drain is high.
iPhone 16 Pro Max: As always, iOS optimization is top-notch. Stable 120 FPS.
The Heating Issue in "Primewood" Mode
Here is a warning from my personal testing. The new Primewood Genesis mode is graphically heavy. There are glowing trees, flying particles, and dynamic shadows.
Problem: Even the iPhone 16 Pro Max heats up to 42°C in the "Tree of Life" hot drop.
Solution: If you are a rank pusher, I recommend setting your graphics to "Smooth + 90 FPS" instead of 120 FPS for this specific event mode. The stability is worth more than the extra frames. Save 120 FPS for TDM or Sanhok.
A Warning for Low-End Device Users
I see many Telegram channels selling "120 FPS Config Files" for low-end phones (like Redmi Note 10 or older devices).
PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM.
Hardware Limit: Your screen is 60Hz. Even if the game runs at 120 FPS, your screen can only show 60. You are stressing your phone for nothing.
Ban Risk: The new anti-cheat detects forced frame rate modification. You will get a 10-year ban.
Conclusion
120 FPS is the future, but it requires expensive hardware. If you have a supported device, enable it from Settings > Graphics > Frame Rate > Ultra Extreme. If not, stick to 60 FPS and focus on your aim!
