The wait is finally over, guys! The previous season has locked, and we are officially entering Cycle 8 Season 24 (C8S24). I know many of you struggled to reach Ace Master last season because of the chaotic "Shadow Force" meta, but this time, things are different. The new "Primewood Genesis" update has changed the pacing of the game completely.
In this article, I am going to break down everything you need to know about C8S24—from the new "Forest Spirit" outfits to the exact time the servers will open. Plus, I will share my personal strategy on how to reach Conqueror in the first week itself.
The New "Primewood" Theme Rewards
Krafton has finally listened to us. After months of giving us weird colorful outfits, they have returned to the "Military & Camouflage" roots, but with a fantasy twist suited for the new update.
Gold Tier (The Forest Scout):
As soon as you finish your 5 placement matches and hit Gold, you get the "Forest Scout" set. It’s a mix of dark green and brown leather. Honestly, this is a "Pay-to-Win" outfit because if you prone in the new Erangel grass wearing this, enemies literally cannot see you.
Platinum Tier (The Vision Glasses):
The glasses this time are decent. They have a futuristic green tint. Not the best, but good for collection.
Diamond Tier (The Crossbow Skin!):
This is the highlight. For the first time in many seasons, we are getting a skin for the Crossbow. Since the Crossbow got a huge buff in update 4.2 (exploding bolts), this skin is going to be a flex. It has a wooden texture with glowing runes.
Ace Tier (Spirit Sentry Mask):
The mask looks terrifying. It covers half the face and has a tribal design. Perfect for those who play aggressively.
Conqueror Avatar Frame:
If you manage to hit the top 500, the C8S24 frame is one of the best. It has an animated "Vine" effect that moves around the border. It screams "I am a pro".
Rank Reset Logic: Where Will You Land?
A lot of new players get confused about where they will start. Here is the simplified breakdown for C8S24:
Bronze to Platinum: You will stay in the same tier or drop slightly.
Diamond: You will drop to Gold.
Crown: You will drop to Platinum 1 or 2.
Ace / Ace Master / Dominator: All of you are going back to Platinum 1.
Conqueror: Sadly, you also go back to Platinum 1. Everyone starts the race from the same line.
My Secret Strategy for Week 1 Push
Since everyone is reset to Platinum, the lobbies are going to be extremely hard. You will face T1 competitive players.
Avoid Hot Drops: Do not land on the "Tree of Life" event areas in the first 3 days. You will die instantly and get -40 points.
Use the Thorn Scorpion: The new vehicle is a cheat code for rotations. It can climb mountains where normal cars fail. Use it to hold high ground.
Play Livik for K/D: If you want to maintain a high K/D, play Livik. If you want points, play Erangel/Miramar.
